Did you know...
- A single computer monitor can contain up to 8 pounds of lead.
- A CPU (computer processing unit) is packed with heavy metals such as silver, mercury, lead and more.
These materials don't belong in the trash!
Nationwide, more than 650 million computers will become obsolete containing:
Fewer than 1 in 10 unwanted computers are rebuilt or recycled.
Improper disposal of electronic wast that contains heavy metals and pollutants poses a significant threat to human health, leading to respiratory illness, skin infections, stomach disease and other conditions.
Most clients of ours have out-of-use electronic equipment, sometimes mountains of it, usually in warehouses and sometimes in offices, closets and desk drawers. We solve e-waste problems by developing electronics recycling programs to fit the requirements of each of our valued clients.
Beware of so-called "Free Recycling Companies"
Nobody works for free! More than 65% of technology scrap has a cost associated with proper disposal. Why do you think that a company is willing to dispose of your technology waste at no charge? Most often than not, these companies strip out the valuable components for resale and illegally dump (landfill, third world countries, etc.) the remainder to avoid the cost of proper disposal.
